In this keynote address, Nick will talk about his experiences of living through the 2017 terrorist attacks in London and Manchester. He will describe leading his team of 300 police officers in response to those events and how, working with communities, London remained resilient in the face of adversity. He will talk about how learning from those events helped inform the creation of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill 2025, and what the future holds for protecting publicly accessible locations.
